Volunteers

HYS Volunteers really make it happen

Hosea’s volunteers come from everywhere it

seems . . .    like Rachel and Laura above, two college grad gals; each who have spent time in overseas ministry.

Local youth group kids, long time volunteers of all ages

from numerous churches, colleges, bible study groups,

caring individuals and families make up

   Hosea’s volunteer force. . . . their simple reason . . .

“God has been merciful to me

and I want to be a blessing to others”

     Ask the Hosea kids . . .

They’ll tell you what a blessing they truly are.

Today, we’re still learning . Happily, we’ve

been able to increase our services to them adding;

more meals, clothing, blankets, personal hygiene supplies, as well as laundry and shower facilities,

all in an atmosphere of respect and acceptance.

For many, most importantly, Hosea is a place to rest

a while from their scrambling to “make it happen.”

Why do you want to be a Hosea Volunteer?

David V. Helping with an Art Project

“Because, I used to be one of them, and I

really want them to know that God is right

there all the time taking care of them. They

can turn to Him at any time and He’ll be there

          for them.”   David V.

   A meal and much more . . .

Bible studies and a Friday evening Worship

Service known as Ragamuffin Church are

key elements of our offerings to the kids.

Well attended, these weekly events are a big

comfort and motivation to tackle uprightly the

numerous dangers and difficulties of life on

   the streets.
